GETTING CREATIVE WITH GENEROSITY

(Middle School - High School)

Generosity is often thought of in terms of material things, like money and gifts that you purchase or give. Let’s think creatively about how we can be generous to others with our words, behavior, and through our actions. Once compiled, you can choose from your very own Generosity toolkit so you can be generous with your generosity!

Here are a few prompts and ideas to get you started....

What are some no-cost ways we can show generosity?

Examples:

  • Smile at someone (you may never know how much they needed that smile)
  • Compliment a classmate on one of their skills or talents
  • Being full present when listening to someone else

How might you practice generosity by NOT doing or saying something?

Examples:

  • Choosing to do what your friend wants instead of what you wanted to do
  • Deciding not to say something that may hurt another person's feelings

How can you be generous with your talents?

Examples:

  • If you play an instrument or sing, share your song with someone
  • Make a homemade card to give to someone who may need a little cheering up
